Do you alter items that I bring in?

Although previously offered this service, the increased interest in Davis Clothing’s business has meant that we are no longer able to offer this service to items that were not originally bought from here.

Has long do alterations take?

Time to alter varies depending on how many alterations we need to complete and how busy we have been previously. This means that all alterations are subject to delays. Easier alterations like hemming the length of trousers take between 10-15 minutes and can be done while you wait. Other alterations may need to be left with the seamstresses to be completed.

Has the business moved before?

No, Davis Clothing has always been in this same location since its creation. No other building or location has ever existed for our business.

Is everyone a Davis?

Though the store is named after the original founder and family, our current owner (Mr. Steve Shelby) has owned the store for four out of the six decades we have been in business. This means that most employees are actually family of Mr. Shelby or simply employees that have no relation to the Shelby’s.

Do you keep my size on file?

No, we at Davis Clothing do not keep the individual measurements of customers that purchase from us. We do keep on file weddings and the measurements in those weddings. If you would like to have your measurements written down and given to you for future use, please ask.
